Art Shows + Radio Shows + Sci Art Talks
"If you're particularly interested in
DNA, genealogy and unique and beautiful scientific art — check
out the Bell Museum and make sure to stop down to see Lynn's exhibition.
Besides being beautiful and fascinating, it's an excellent example
of how one Minnesota artist has moved swiftly in to a realm, genetics
and its visualization, in an innovative and very creative way."
Quote from an article by Steve
Borsch titled "Exploring Darwin, DNA and
Art". The article was published online atMinnPost.com, February,
2009. Steve is a Twin Cities marketing, media and technology
guru.
Radio Interviews
with Scientists
Lynn interviews prominent
scientists about their work and current issues in evolution,
genetics, physics, anthropology, and sometimes art. The shows
are broadcast live on Air
America, AM 950, KTNF.
The audio below is a short interview with
Physicist Lawrence Krauss talking about his
current work with gravitaional waves and the origin of the Universe.
To hear more of the interviews including Evo Devo Scientist Sean
B. Carroll, NCSE Director Genie

Lynn's Blog.
Talks about Science and Art
Lynn recently spoke to two groups
in the metro area: the Stillwater Critical Thinking Club and
the Minnesota Humanists.
New Art Shows
Lynn is showing her work at Cold Spring
Harbor Lab's symposium "Evolution: the Molecular Landscape".
The CSH Lab is famous for the leadership of Crick and Watson,
the founders of the structure of DNA.
Recent Art Shows
DNA Portraits
at The Bell Museum of Natural History The Bell Museum at the University of Minnesota showed
Lynn's art as part of the Darwin festivities.Along with the images,
Lynn designed graphical explanations of genetic research on tall
banners. The banners explained the basics genetic concepts and
showed how mtDNA and Y chromosome data and Hap Groups have meaning
in the art.

LifeScience Alley Conference2008
Fellman was invited to show her DNA Portraits at the biotech

and academia.
The Noble Conference at Gustavus Adolphus 2008
Fellman has been invited to show her DNA Portraits at the conference.
The event is titled "Who Were the First Humans?" and
features world class scientists speaking about their research
on human origins. Fellman's art about Haplogroup migrations relates
to research by presenters Svante Pääbo and Robin Dunbar.
Evolution 2008: Life Science Conference Genetic inspired art on silk and paper
at the conference for systematic and evolutionary biologists. Over
1400 scientists from around the world attended the U of M conference.
Woman’s Club of Minneapolis 2008 Individual show of large format work on paper and
silk inspired by population genetics.
ASHG Conference in San Diego Fellman was the first artist to exhibit at the American
Society for Human Genetics conference. She showed her DNA Portraits
